We at Zambia Gold Company Limited (ZGCL) believe that the company can only be successful when both our internal (The Board and Management) and external (suppliers, customers, regulators e.tc) stakeholders practice environmental stewardship as a higher value in our social and economic operations.
We believe in creating value for all stakeholders that could be impacted by our business decisions as well as those that impact on our operations.
We believe that communities are the masters of their destiny, and therefore they should be given chance to develop home-grown solutions that respond to, and solve the challenges that confront the people who live and work in communities where we conduct our business.
With this approach, we aim at creating thriving, sustainable and resilient community economies that use natural resources for their current survival and for the benefit of future generations.
Consequently, we are committed to providing support to the promotion of the communities’ cultural heritage, indigenous knowledge systems, education, health, water and sanitation, and the general well-being of the communities.
